Im not even sure if i was supposed to be in college today but due to oversleeping and more importantly the weather i stayed home. I wasnt feeling quite in the mood as my brain was elsewhere sledging, so i eased myself in with this pretty simple torch. I wanted a directional light source mesh that could be placed around the level casting atmospheric shadows. I cant decide if its too big or not as ive had to put blocking volumes over it as you get stuck manouvreing around it.
I cracked on and decided to get my lift modelled and working with its trigger as it was an assessment criteria i was missing. For this i had a very specific idea in mind, i liked the idea of using pulleys, cables and a weight like traditional lifts. I am almost done with the modelling and will get onto texturing tommorow no doubt, but ive encountered a problem. When the elevator moves in game the cabling attached is so long it passes through to the next level. If i can find a fix like a vanishing volume or a teleporting system that'll work then ill have it finished in a day. Otherwise i may have to learn how to animate it in maya.
Hi Pete.

So no worries about missing a day LOL. Nice to see your easing yourself back into modelling your scene with some simple assets. Looking good as always.
