So now it is down to the finishing touches, I started with the air intakes thinking these would be straight forward and would bring on the model another step. The smaller intake under the propellor cone was indeed quite stright forward. A fractional inset on the poly and then a simple negative extrude to create the well, job done.

Modelling out the shape of the blade was fairly straight forward, i did it first in a flat plane using a box to start with until i had the shape, then add the twist that gives it its pull when rotating. Using the Modifier Based Space Warps i drew the Twist warp around the blade making sure it was entirely within, then tweaked the values to give the correct twist.
The propellor cone i first created a decent sized sized cone, funnily enough with several height segments using the vertex selection in ediable poly mode started to tweak the shape of the cone widening the point end and slightly tightening the base end until i had the desired shape. Then moving the blade into position above the cone, i moved the pivot point of the blade directly to the center of the cone and rotated holding shift, creating 3 copies of the blade at right angles.
